DIY - An easy guide to help you framing your new Mon Manabu's art print.

An easy step by step guide to frame 2 different print's sizes into the same frame. The A3 will be displayed with a mat, and the 16x20 inches (40x50cm) without mat.

An A3 print displayed with mat in a 40x50cm frame:

A 40x50cm (16x20") print displayed without a mat in a 40x50cm frame:

In both cases we are using the same frame, a 40x50cm Hovsta frame from Ikea.

You can find affordable frames in Ikea. The frame we use in our designers markets is called Hovsta, which comes  in several colours: light timber, dark timber, black, white and grey.

Frame sizes to look for, when using the mat included in the frame:

  • For our A4 print get the 30 x 40 cm (with mount opening: 20x29cm)
  • For our A3 print get the 40 x 50 cm (with mount opening: 29x39cm)
  • For our 40x50cm print: 50 x 70 cm (with mount opening: 39x49cm)
  • For our 50x70cm print: 61 x 91 cm (with mount opening: 49x69cm)

I hope this little guide will help you to find the best frame for your new print from Mon Manabu.
